In 2005, Baroness Anne Jenkin and The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP founded Women2Win - to address the fact that only 9% of Conservative MPs were women.
I've been involved with Women2Win since 2012, working to get more women elected to public life and to Parliament.
As part of its work, Women2Win supports every female candidate that stands - and I was delighted to be asked to speak alongside Anne at a fundraiser, to tell guests about the impact Women2Win has had on my efforts to stand for Parliament and become an MP.
We have some incredible women standing for Parliament at this GE - and many will go on to become MPs.
If you'd like to help, please get in touch - this could be through campaigning, mentoring candidates, hosting a fundraiser, donating money to a hardworking candidate, or helping us scout for the next generation of female candidates.
I want a meritocracy - where the best person is chosen - and believe this would lead to a more diverse and representative Parliament.
