It was such a pleasure to join the brilliant Ryan Henson & Stewart Harper to the "Political Journeys" Podcast, where I talk about politics, public service and my work over the last 12 years with Women2Win to get more women into Parliament and Public Life.
Whilst I'm currently enjoying my fab job as Global Head of Policy at the Open Data Institute, and my incredibly rewarding public appointment as Deputy Chair of the Social Mobility Commission, the 10 years I've spent on the candidates' list, and the 2 elections I fought taught me so much. The journey has been both an immense privilege, and a crazy rollercoaster - and I couldn't recommend political engagement, and candidacy - more highly.
I didn't get to touch on some of the other brilliant organisations I get to work with (Fawcett Society, John Smith Centre, Coalition for Global Prosperity, Conservative Environment Network, Conservative Friends of International Development) - but do look them up and get involved with organisations that work on the causes you care about.
