It was a real pleasure to be part of this Chartered Management Institute panel on alongside the impressive, and inspirational:
- Bob Cryan CBE DL CMgr CCMI - Vice Chancellor, University of Huddersfield
- Alice Maynard CBE CMgr CCMI, Award winning NED and Chair
- Polly Morgan CMgr MCMI, winner of both Digital Leader of the Year and Young Digital Leader, Programme Director, iDEA Foundation
- Dr Jummy Okoya FRSA, FCMI, SFHEA, MCIPD, ICF (PCC) , Academic Director for Inclusive Practices, University of East London
We had a fascinating discussion, along with really interesting insights, comments and questions from the audience about social mobility in the UK, intersectionality around class, gender, and employment, and what we need to do to open up opportunities and access to women and ethnic minorities.
I was particularly delighted to able to talk about the work I get to do to as a Social Mobility Commissioner for the Social Mobility Commission, and some of the work of the Fawcett Society on gender stereotypes that restrict children's potential - to the panel, and to Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.
