In 2016 we held a referendum and voted to leave the EU. in March 2017, I hosted a panel on Brexit - discussing how the UK should, and could, leave the EU successfully. This event, with speakers James Cleverly, Lord Jitesh Gadhia, Diane James MEP and Martin Howe QC was held a week before we triggered Article 50. Over 100 people attended the event - some of whom had voted for the first time in the referendum.
It is immensely frustrating for the millions of people who voted leave, and for the millions of people who respect democracy, that we have not left the EU yet. If we want a good deal, we have to be prepared to walk away from the table.
I am supporting the Government to deliver on Brexit, and leave by the end of October.
