Tough on crime

Councillors and residents across Bicester & Woodstock have spoken to me about their concerns around crime, anti social behaviour, knife crime and drug use - particularly around Pioneer Square

People should feel safe to live in, work in, and enjoy their community spaces. We now have more police on our streets than we did before 2019, but people need to see their police forces out and about to feel safe - and anti-social behaviour needs to be tackled.

If selected, I would work alongside Parliamentary colleagues and our Policing Minister Chris Philp MP to ensure a fair allocation of police time and resources, so that we get consistent and visible local policing across the constituency and our hard working police officers get the support they need.

This also means working closely with our PCC - and ensuring that police are also held accountable for their actions.
