Affordable housing - and protecting our green spaces

Residents across Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner are particularly concerned about the lack of affordable housing available. The problem is acute in our constituency, where it is difficult to buy a one bedroom flat for less than £250k or rent one for less than £1,000 a month - swallowing up a significant chunk of disposable incomes.

We are so lucky to live in one of the greenest constituencies in greater London - but that does mean that it is difficult to find sites for housing if we want to protect our green belt.

If selected, I would support our local councils in identifying brownfield sites and protecting our green belt.

I want to fight our current Mayor's plans to overbuild in Greater London and to do away with much needed station car parking.
