Thanks to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for hosting a fantastic International Women’s Day celebration at No. 10.
What a pleasure to spend time with incredible women from around the UK and to hear more about what they’re all doing to make the world a better place.
Great to hear from the PM when he talked about the success of women in the Conservative Party.
He said:
“The Conservative Party is the party of women. Not only was the first female Member of Parliament a Conservative, the first three and only female Prime Ministers were Conservative. That is a record to be proud of.”
Very chuffed that the PM recognised the hard work of W2W (having been a team member since 2012!) in getting more women elected into Parliament and Public Life when he said:
“All of this wouldn’t have been possible without organisations such as Women2Win and the Conservative Women’s Organisation who have done so much to boost female representation in our party.”
