resham_kotecha_campaigning.jpgWith only 100 days to go, the election is in full swing. We have lots of opportunities for you to get involved and would love to see you at our event with The Rt. Hon Nicky Morgan on the 2nd Feb.

Herne Hill & Thurlow Park Doorknocking

We had a great evening on Tuesday last week knocking on doors near Herne Hill station. I was very pleased by the number of people who expressed in interest in our campaigns and in supporting the work that we are doing and we treated ourselves to a drink at the Effra Social after - a great way to warm up on a cold evening!

I had a great morning on Saturday hosting a "Meet Resham" morning at our association office. I then spent time with some energetic campaigners doorknocking in Thurlow Park. It was a lovely day and I was pleased that so many people wanted to talk to me and the team about what we were doing to deal with local issues.

Fundraiser with The Rt. Hon. Nicky Morgan MP - Secretary of State for Education

On Monday 2nd February, The Rt. Hon. Nicky Morgan will be speaking to guests over food and wine about the forthcoming election and other important political matters. This is a really exciting opportunity to hear from the Education secretary in this important election year. Please contact 02086700677 for tickets or click here for information

Fundraiser with a Senior Cabinet Member

I am delighted to say that a Senior Cabinet Member will be joining us at a Central London location on the 4th of March to discuss the General Election, the work of the Conservative Government and the importance of the work we are doing in Dulwich & West Norwood. For security reasons, I won't be able to reveal the name yet but I will do soon! Please note the date in your diary and I will give you more information next week!

Windsor Grove Campaign

I have been working with residents on the Windsor Grove estate, whose flats have been allowed to fall into a terrible state by Lambeth Council. Leaseholders in particular are bearing the brunt of the costs and I am determined to get the Council to carry out the necessary work to get the estate back to a reasonable state without leaseholders suffering ruinous service charges. If you live on Windsor Grove, or have faced excessive leaseholder charges of your own, please do let me know so I can make representations on your behalf.

London Bridge Campaign

I am still being contacted by commuters about their frustrations about the train service and to sign the petition. If you have not done so already, please sign at

Claire Perry MP, Minister for transport has agreed to meet with me to discuss what can be done for commuters and I will keep you updated once we have met.

Future Campaign days

As always, I would love to see as many people as possible. We will be out tomorrow in East Dulwich and will be meeting at the station at 7pm.

I am delighted to say that Syed Kamall (MEP for London) will be out with us from 10-11am on Saturday morning. This will be a great opportunity to speak to Syed about the election and his views on Europe. If you would like to come out with us, we will meet at the Alleyn's Head pub in West Dulwich just before 10am. If you would like to join us later, please let me know and I can keep in touch with you until you arrive.

If there is anything I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best Wishes,

Resham Kotecha
