My Week 19/1/2015

On the campaign trailLots has been going on with the campaign and I’m excited to say we have some great events coming up to raise funds for the campaign and to raise awareness as well as opportunities for you to meet MPs.

London Bridge Campaign

I was very grateful to the three volunteers that joined me last Tuesday to raise awareness of our London Bridge campaign and to collect signatures for our petition. Many commuters stopped to express their frustrations about the train service and to sign the petition. If you have not done so already, please sign at http://www.dwnconservatives.com/london_bridge

Claire Perry MP, Minister for transport has agreed to meet with me to discuss what can be done for commuters and the importance of proper service for hard working people.

Croxted Road Doorknocking

We had a great morning on Saturday canvassing on Croxted road. We managed to deliver leaflets to the whole road and met lots of residents – many of whom wanted to share their concerns about local issues. I was very pleased by the number of people who expressed in interest in our campaigns and in supporting the work that we are doing.

Fundraiser with The Rt. Hon. Nicky Morgan MP - Secretary of State for Education

On Monday 2nd February, The Rt. Hon. Nicky Morgan will be speaking to guests over dinner and wine about the forthcoming election and other important political matters. This is a really exciting opportunity to hear from the Education secretary in this important election year. Fundraiser with a Senior Cabinet Member

I am delighted to say that a Senior Cabinet Member will be joining us at a Central London location on the 4th of March to discuss the General Election, the work of the Conservative Government and the importance of the work we are doing in Dulwich & West Norwood. Please note the date in your diary and I will give you more information next week!

Daily Politics Show

Today, we filmed a piece for tomorrow’s Daily Politics show to talk about campaigning in Dulwich & West Norwood as well as life as a candidate and how we aim to serve constituents. Tune in tomorrow to see the programme on BBC2 and see us talk about local issues and campaigns.

Future Campaign days

As always, I would love to see as many people as possible. We will be out tomorrow in Herne Hill and will be meeting at The Commercial at 7pm. We will then be going on to the Effra Social at around 8.15/8.30 and would love to see you there! Come along to meet other activists and to have a chat to me. On Saturday, I will be at the Association office (495 Norwood Road) to meet people. Please come along and say hello! From 11 we will be in Thurlow Park. If you would like to come out with us, we will meet at the office at 11.

If there is anything I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best Wishes,
Resham Kotecha
