My Week 16/2/2015

Campaigning with Gavin BarwellWe're only 80 days away from the election and we’re planning lots of different ways to meet constituents and to get our campaign message out there!

To help you forward plan and to find out where we are meeting and on which days, we have a calendar on the website.

Telephone Canvassing and Croydon Campaigning

I spent Tuesday evening with some activists calling residents in Thurlow Park. We managed to speak to far more constituents on the phone than we could have spoken to on the doorstep and we managed to sign up some new activists and deliverers.

On Saturday we went to Croydon to support Gavin Barwell in his bid to hold his seat at the next election. Holding Gavin’s seat is vital if we want to form a Conservative Government after May. It wasn’t the most conventional way to spend Valentine’s day, but we did have a lot of fun!

Fundraiser – with a Senior Cabinet member

I’m delighted to be able to announce the fundraiser we will be holding to fund the campaign for the General Election. The invitation is below. We will be hearing from a Senior Cabinet member and the event is kindly being hosted by Baroness Jenkin of Kennington and Guy Opperman MP.

Future Campaign days

As always, I would love to see as many people as possible. We will be out on Wednesday morning at various stations in the constituency to promote our campaign fighting for commuters to get compensation for delayed trains and poor service. If you’re free to help, it would be great! Please let me know what station would suit you and we can set it up.

On Saturday we will be meeting at 495 Norwood Road to canvas in Knights Hill ward. Please do come along – it would be great to get out lots of our new leaflets!

If there is anything I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best Wishes,

Resham Kotecha
